Por meio do estudo acerca dos fundamentos do Sociologismo Jurídico, a presente pesquisa investiga a relação entre direito e coerção na doutrina sociológica de Eugen Ehrlich, buscando demonstrar as razões que permitem esse sociólogo afirmar que a coerção não é elemento essencial e exclusivo do Direito, mas apenas uma de suas características, tendo em vista que a coerção também pode ser exercida pela própria sociedade, uma vez que é ela a real fonte primária do direito.

The present study investigates the relation between law and coercion in the sociological doctrine of Eugen Ehrlich, seeking to demonstrate the reasons that allow this sociologist to affirm that coercion is not an essential and exclusive element of the Law, but only one of its characteristics, given that coercion can also be exercised by society itself, since it is the real primary source of law.
