A presente pesquisa busca investigar as causas do comportamento anômico, além da relação entre direito e anomia. Ainda, visa demonstrar que por meio da teoria geral da anomia proposta por Robert Merton é possível constatar que o comportamento delitivo não está relacionado a fatores biológicos ou questões meramente psicológicas dos indivíduos, mas se remete diretamente às circunstâncias e à própria estrutura cultural e sócio-econômica presente nas sociedades capitalistas.

RIGHT AND ANOMIE IN ROBERT MERTON'S THEORY OF CRIMINALITY

The present research seeks to investigate the causes of anomic behavior, as well as the relation between right and anomie. Furthermore, it aims to demonstrate that through the general anomie theory proposed by Robert Merton it is possible to verify that the delinquency is not related to biological factors or merely psychological issues of the individuals, but refers directly to the circumstances and to the cultural and social existing in capitalist societies.
