O presente estudo aborda o Termo de Ajustamento de Conduta com a finalidade de corrigir os danos causados ao meio ambiente pelas empresas. Por ser o meio ambiente tutelado pelo o ordenamento jurídico, os danos causados acarretam a cobrança da responsabilidade civil. A empresa ao buscar o aumento de lucros e maiores investimentos de forma equivocadas, comete práticas irregulares e clandestinas que podem ocasionar consequências negativas irreversíveis ao meio ambiente. Portanto, quando aplicada a responsabilidade civil para ressarcir o dano cometido, constata-se que o Termo de Ajustamento de Conduta é um instrumento possivelmente mais eficaz na correção do ato infrator.

The study addresses the Term of Adjustment of Conduct with the objective of correcting the damages caused to the environment by the companies. The environment is protected by the legal system, the damages caused result in the collection of civil liability. The company in seeking the increase of profits and greater investments in the wrong way, ready irregular and clandestine practices that can cause irreversible negative consequences to the environment. Thus, when applied to civil liability to compensate the damage committed, it is found that the Term of Adjustment of Conduct is effective in correcting the act offending.
