DIREITO E MORAL: a conduta de Antígona à luz do jusnaturalismo tomista

Este estudo aborda o Direito e a Literatura ao analisar a tragédia Antígona, de Sófocles, a partir do jusnaturalismo tomista. O problema que norteou a presente pesquisa partiu do seguinte questionamento: a conduta da personagem Antígona é coerente com o jusnaturalismo de Santo Tomás de Aquino? O objetivo foi, assim, demonstrar que a conduta de Antígona é coerente com a teoria jusnaturalista tomista, isto é, do ponto de vista do jusnaturalismo tomista, a lei humana deve estar de acordo com a lei divina para que tenha validade e eficácia.

RIGHT AND MORAL: the conduct of Antigone in the light of Thomistic jusnaturalism

This study deals with law and literature when analyzing Sophocles' tragedy Antigone from Thomistic jusnaturalism. The problem that led to the present research started from the following question: Is the behavior of the character Antigone coherent with the natural law of St. Thomas Aquinas? The aim was thus to demonstrate that Antigone's conduct is consistent with Thomistic jusnaturalist theory, that is, from the point of view of Thomistic jusnaturalism, human law must be in accordance with divine law in order to have efficacy.
