Este artigo estuda a conexão os saberes autóctones e o saber eurocêntrico, para estender direitos aos animais. Justifica-se pela nova concepção de uma comunidade mundial de valores, calcada no bem viver e na paz de humanos e não humanos. A primeira parte versa sobre as culturas dos povos autóctones; e a segunda sobre diálogos jurídico-culturais para atribuir direitos aos animais. Baseou-se pelo método dedutivo-dialético, procedimento histórico-bibliográfico, mediante fichamentos e resenhas. Concluiu-se que os saberes biocêntricos são o ponto de partida para a extensão de direitos aos animais pela concepção do bem viver.

This article studies the connection between autochthonous knowledge and eurocentric knowledge, to extend rights to animals. It is justified by the new conception of a world community of values, based on the good life and peace of humans and not humans. The first part deals with the cultures of indigenous peoples; and the second on legal-cultural dialogues to assign rights to animals. It was based on the deductive-dialectical method, historical-bibliographic procedure, through recordings and reviews. It was concluded that biocentric knowledge is the starting point for the extension of rights to animals through the conception of well-being.
